Frequently Asked Questions

How much does your service cost?

Currently we charge a hourly rate of $250. Therapy sessions are usually scheduled for an hour, with 50 minutes for actual therapy and 10 minutes for session notes. Assessments are charged based on the number of hours needed (including assessment sessions, report writing, test scoring, and a feedback session).

Do you provide service in-person?

We are only able to provide virtual services at this point, either through video or phone, using our confidential telehealth platform. We are hoping to provide in-person services in the future.

Do you provide service outside of Ontario?

Unfortunately, we can only provide services to residents of Ontario. For individuals who currently reside outside of Ontario, we are not allowed to provide any psychological service.

What is your cancellation policy?

Appointments cancelled within 24 hours will be charged. Missed appointments will also be charged. We understand life happens and if you are cancelling due to an emergency situation, please let us know as soon as you can.

Are you registered with Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB)?

Yes, we are registered with WSIB and provide services through their Community Mental Health Program (for both assessment and treatment).

Are you registered with Veterans Affairs Canada (VAC)?

Yes, we are registered with VAC/Medavie Blue Cross. If you have already submitted a disability benefits application for a mental health condition, then you should be covered by VAC to receive assessment and treatment. We can also assist with diagnostic assessment (e.g., the medical questionnaire) for your VAC claims.

Do you bill directly to insurance company?

We do bill WSIB and VAC directly for related services. For other clients, we provide you with receipts so that you can submit a claim to your insurance company. We do hope to provide direct billing for most clients in the future.
